2nd May 2018 @ 12:15 pm - 2:30 pm
The Whisky Bond, Glasgow

In the month that GDPR is shaking up how we interact with our audiences, we figured, why not shake up our First Wednesday too? So that’s what we’re doing.

We’re changing the format of May’s First Wednesday, removing our usual guest speaker presentation and Q&A session and replacing it with, well, just a question.

What does digital transformation or disruption mean to you and your organisation?

At this special session, we’ll be providing an open forum for arts and cultural organisations to discuss, debate and discover what the current digital transformation and disruption movement could mean for you.

Are you making the most of all the digital software, technology and strategies that are coming to the fore in recent years? Your audiences are embracing digital at an extremely fast rate, but are you able to meet reach and engage with them effectively in that sphere? And most importantly: do you need to?

one-to-one marketing sessions

Before and after the forum our marketing team will be holding 45 minute sessions to give you really practical advice on your website and social media. They’ll talk you through website user experience, social media engagement, analytical tools with some hacks and tips along the way. To book a session email ela@culturerepublic.co.uk.

who is the workshop for?

This workshop is designed to get entire organisations thinking about how and why they should embrace a more digital focus to help improve customer service and satisfaction, make marketing and communications efforts more effective and make internal processes seamless.

Digital transformation isn’t just about doing more on social media or introducing Virtual Reality headsets to your venue. It’s about rethinking how you do even the most routine activities in a more streamlined way, leading to a more efficient and hopefully successful organisation.

Some of the most stimulating sessions take place when there’s the opportunity to step away from the pressure of a busy job, get together with colleagues and share learning.

That’s why we host ‘First Wednesdays’ – a series of topical, bite-sized information sessions taking place on the first Wednesday of each month.

They are an open invitation each month for our Partners and industry colleagues to regularly drop in our offices to keep up to date with ideas and examples of useful practice we’ve gathered from across the country.

It might be as simple as hearing how other people have successfully tackled the same challenges you face building profitable customer relationships and wider public engagement or learning about the raft of new tools or approaches emerging daily.

Our goal is to inspire fresh thinking, expand current networks and focus on the Most Important Thing … to build new audiences and greater engagement.

Please note: this session will not be streamed on Periscope.
