We’re offering a truly unique opportunity to see your venue or space in a new light at November’s First Wednesday.
Venue View will join us in Edinburgh to showcase their remarkable virtual tours, with Technical Director, Keith McMahon, explaining how the company can transform theatres, cinemas, gardens, museums, any venue or space you can imagine, into a 360 degree interactive virtual tour. This a visual media tool that could massively transform your digital offering and audience engagement.
Have a look at this short video to get an idea of the huge scale and incredible detail involved in a virtual tour.
Keith will discuss how ground breaking 3D technology can be used by arts organisations of all types, to create stunning virtual tours that excite and engage with audiences, visitors, touring companies and customers converting more website visitors into audiences and customers. Touring companies and producers can check out spaces quickly and easily; it’s useful for audiences with access requirements; museum exhibitions can be seen around the world; and you can highlight your event spaces for different occasions.
“The virtual tour of The New Alexandra Theatre looks absolutely fantastic. Such a great initiative that will be a game-changer for negotiating venue hires and for producers.”
Samuel Wightman – The Ambassador Theatre Group
“Venue View created a virtual tour for The National Museum of Computing on Bletchley Park that we didn’t know was even possible — and in super quick time. Everyone who has seen it so far has come back with one simple comment: Wow!…the finished product has astounded everyone.”
Dr Stephen Fleming – The National Museum of Computing
Keith will demonstrate how new types of immersive media can create new marketing and branding opportunities for arts organisations by adding a unique and cutting edge aspect to their online presence. This can help drive enquiries directly from the tour by linking to booking platforms, performances and accessibility via live information tags.
Virtual reality, the world’s fastest growing technology, will also be discussed, including how it can be cost effectively incorporated into your organisation. Keith will then discuss how different departments within your organisation, from marketing to facilities management to access & participation can enjoy tangible benefits from a virtual tour.
The session will cover:
- How to bring your venue to life online
- The changes in online media consumption
- Using and understanding Virtual Reality
- Increasing your Google presence and your SEO ranking
- Making an impact on social media
- Creating and utilising ‘sticky’ content for your website

ABOUT FIRST WEDNESDAYS
Some of the most stimulating sessions take place when there’s the opportunity to step away from the pressure of a busy job, get together with colleagues and share learning.
That’s why we host ‘First Wednesdays’ – a series of topical, bite-sized information sessions taking place on the first Wednesday of each month.
They are an open invitation each month for our Partners and industry colleagues to regularly drop in our offices to keep up to date with ideas and examples of useful practice we’ve gathered from across the country.
It might be as simple as hearing how other people have successfully tackled the same challenges you face building profitable customer relationships and wider public engagement or learning about the raft of new tools or approaches emerging daily.
Our goal is to inspire fresh thinking, expand current networks and focus on the Most Important Thing … to build new audiences and greater engagement.
If you can’t join us in person, why not sign up for a periscope registration. You will be able to tune in remotely so you can still hear from our speakers from wherever you are!
